NJ LBP Supervisor - Comm. Buildings/Superstructures (Initial Course)

This four-day course is required for the training of individuals that supervise lead abatement projects for commercial buildings and superstructures.  A second certificate for OSHA Lead Competent Person Initial will also be provided upon successful completion of this program. The course discusses the history, properties, and health effects of lead, Federal and state regulations, and hazard recognition, reduction, and abatement methods. Comprehensive hands-on training is provided during the course.

To obtain the state license or permit, trainees must have proof of education and/or experience. Contact Access or the appropriate state for details.

A permit will be issued only to applicants who meet the following requirements:

1. A minimum of two (2) years of experience in industrial painting;

2. A minimum of 90 days of experience in field supervision or management in hazardous paint removal within the previous 24 months; and

3. Work experience demonstrating knowledge of relevant safety practices, waste handling procedures, and environmental monitoring.

 

INITIAL CLASSES CANNOT BE TAKEN ONLINE.

 

Trainee(s) may receive a full refund if their registration is cancelled prior to the start of a program.  If a program is in progress, no refunds will be issued if trainee(s) withdraw from class.  A credit may be issued on a case-by-case basis.
