This 3 day Initial Program fulfills the EPA Model Accreditation plan for Initial training required for asbestos Project Designers. The Project Designer is required to prepare plans and specifications to perform asbestos abatement. Training topics include: characteristics of asbestos, health hazards of exposure, regulations, air monitoring, respirators and protective clothing considerations, inspection protocols, sampling techniques, building system evaluations, interpretation of drawings and blueprints, and quality assurance procedure, on-site safety, response actions and abatement techniques, role of other professionals, recordingkeeping, cost estimating, contracts, writing specifications and designing projects.
Onsite contract programs are also available. This training is accredited by the State of Pennsylvania.
Duration: Three Days, 24-Hour Program
Refresher Program: This 8 hour program fulfills the EPA Model Accrediation Plan for refresher training annually for the above program. Training topics include an overview of the above updates of regulations review of topics from initial course and current technology changes. Onsite contract programs are also available.

Prerequisites: Project Designer Initial or refresher program within the last two years.
