This 4 day program fulfills the New Jersey Model Accreditation Program initial training requirements for lead-based paint abatement supervisors who perform work in commercial buildings, bridges, tanks, and other steel superstructures. This training is accredited by the State of New Jersey.

The successful trainee will receive two certificates. The supervisor certificate as well as the OSHA Competent Person certificate in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.62.

Training Topics include history, characteristics, and uses of lead, health hazards of exposure, OSHA supervisor protection regulations, exposure monitoring, work area preparation, respirators and protective clothing, decontamination procedures, waste disposal, safe work practices, fall protection,heavy metals in industrial paints, and related topics.

Supervisor topics include record keeping, legal liabilities, insurance, supervisory skills, and cost estimation.

The open enrollment program conducted at ACCESS includes classroom instructions, demonstrations, and workshops.

Duration: Four Days, 32 Hour Program

Prerequisites: To obtain the New Jersey State license, documentation of appropriate experience in industrial painting and lead must be provided with the application to the state. Contact ACCESS for additional details.
